Accessibility for persons with a mobility disability is through the ground level entrance. The museum is ramped throughout.

Assistive devices may be borrowed: wheelchair, magnifying glasses, reading glasses.

Metered parking for persons with a disability is located on Main Street in front of the museum.

In 2003, the Museum was visited by royalty. Prince and Princess Michael of Kent (he is cousin to Queen Elizabeth II) toured through the exhibits during a week-long stay on Lake of the Woods.
