Education

The Lake of the Woods Museum believes in the pursuit of lifelong learning. We recognize that the instilling of that passion begins at an early age and is nurtured through the school years and beyond. To assist teachers we offer a wide range of School Programs and learning opportunities at the museum based on the curriculum and/or our special or permanent exhibits.

We also offer learning opportunities for people of all ages. Visit our Events to find more information on special children and adult programming. Or visit Volunteering to see how you might get involved with the Museum and have a learning experience along the way.

Kenora is the smallest town to ever win the Stanley Cup. A photograph of the winning team and a hockey stick used in the game are displayed to commemorate those players who, at the time, were described as that speedy bunch of scintillating puck chasers.
