The Big Picture Campaign Pre-Owned Art Auction

ART CALL

Wednesday, May 16 - Friday, May 25

From May 16-25, the Lake of the Woods Museum is hosting an exhibit and silent auction of pre-owned art donated by community members who may wish to refresh their art collections. There are over 150 items on display. Everything from photographs, original painting, soapstone carvings and much, much more!

If you are in the market to purchase some new art, please drop by during the run of the auction. (The Museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am until 5 pm). You will be assigned a bid number and then you are free to bid on whatever pieces interest you. The highest bid takes it at 7pm on Friday, May 25.

Please join us at our coffee and dessert announcement event on May 25 from 7-8pm when we will announce the successful bidders.

Thank you for your support of this fundraiser!

There were 6 prisoner-of-war camps on Lake of the Woods during World War II. The lumber camps housed German prisoners who were set to work out in the bush cutting timber. The Museum has several boat models built by the prisoners at those camps.
