The Past Shaping the Future
Here at Lakes and Woods Museum Canadian History Journal, we believe that our past shapes our future. Our aim is to show the importance of our country’s diverse past and make people aware of the events, places, and people that have united Canadians over the years.
The Beginning
We donate some of our archives to the Archives of Manitoba and the Manitoba Museum, which are two historical public institutions we hold dear. Our gifts earned us major tax saving, and most of these savings were used in building our foundation: Lakes and Woods Museum Canadian History Journal.
In return, we offer funding to both institutions to maintain the gifts we offer and support external initiatives of other companies or foundations as well. We independently collaborate with other foundations to get more funding through sponsorships, donations, and memberships. Since we are registered as a charity, we can receive donations and give receipts for tax purposes.
